FREE Tutorial - Strip Piecing Without a Foundation by Molli Sparkles

Like strip piecing but not a fan of how time consuming it can be?  This technique by Molli Sparkles eliminates the need for a foundation entirely, and the tutorial delivers the how-to in easy to follow steps.  More from Molli:

"The process below outlines the steps to make 16 individual 3.5" string pieced blocks, which will then be sewn together to make a 12.5" block. (I see a proposed bee block in my future as Queen Bee!) Now, let me and my big ole beehive, preface this by saying I'm not claiming to be the first to do it this way, nor am I claiming it is a better way--it's just, like me, a different way. So if you like it, feel free to give it a whirl!

"Jeneta from Plum Jam mentioned to me that she was digging the colours orange, light blue and grey, so I thought that'd be the the perfect colour way for this block. I must say, girl's got some sophisticated taste! Uh, but yeah, I actually didn't have ANY strings in those colours, so I just grabbed the fat quarters and yardage and went to town."
