FREE Tutorial - Evening Blooms Quilt by Andy Knowlton of A Bright Corner
Some patterns look amazing in monochrome, and this design from Andy of A Bright Corner is gorgeous! We love the visual texture of the contrasting shapes and patterns, what an excellent quilt! It was featured on the website of Carina Gardner, the designer of the fabric collection Evening Blooms. This is a great project for any level of quilter, more from Andy:
"This quilt is made up entirely of the 4-patch slice block. As I mentioned about a week ago, I was trying to figure out what to do with these charm squares I got in the mail a little while ago.
"I made this quilt using just the black and white prints from Carina’s Evening Blooms fabric line. I love the bold florals in Evening Blooms and when mixed with the geometric prints it’s the perfect combination. It was so fun to design a quilt that focuses mainly on the value of a fabric. This pattern works well with prints that have a high contrast to one another, and there’s just something so classic about black and white!"
