FREE Pattern - Greek Crossing Quilt by Brenda Ratliff
We have always loved the Greek Cross block, and today our featured designer, Brenda Ratliff of Just A Bit Frayed, is sharing her beautiful version of this block! We love the large 18" blocks she uses and the way they so nicely feature their centerpieces! This project comes to us from Olfa and is good for any level of quilter. More from Brenda:
"Do you ever have a pattern that just sticks in your head? Like, "Man, I really like this! I need to make it!" That's what happened to me with this Greek Cross block. I really like it. I think it's simple in design but still interesting. I just HAD to make something out of it. And I REALLY wanted to make something with all my Cotton+Steel fabric. I bought the whole first collection for myself. I love that it will all match with future collections and that it all worked together. It's kind of like an instant stash.
"But anyway, I supersized the Greek Cross block to 18" for this quilt. I wanted to show off some of the feature prints from Cotton+Steel and this gave me a big place in the center of the block to do just that. This is a quick quilt to put together because of the block size. It's also really great for fat eighth bundles sitting in your stash."
