I am SO excited about this theme! What can be better than cowboy hats, horses, wild west stories (old and new), and maybe a chuck wagon stew to explore the west for a year!
We have traveled across the country and some of my favorite stops had me learning so much about Western life. Not only what went on years ago, but also more current Western life.
To get in shape for this journey I’ve been doing a lot of research and it’s going to be hard to narrow it down to only 10 exciting things about the West to feature. I’ve even found a lingo guide: who knew that 'Pecos Strawberries' are beans? Now I’m on the hunt to read a few books by current-day Western authors. If you have a recommendation, leave it below.
I’ve pulled out my turquoise cowboy boots, and as Mae West said, “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
