|This year, Pat's designs are featuring two colorways using her
"One for You, One for Me" collection from Moda, an aqua version and a blue version.
|January: Down by the Boardwalk
Our first block of Vacation Time is 'Down by the Boardwalk'. You will soon realize, that vacations mean ocean, sand and water to me. I drew up a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. All summer long we walked to the beach and that has stuck with me. When I want to relax and unwind, I want to do it with the sound of the ocean and some sand nearby.
|February: Toes in the Sand
As a little girl we could walk to the beach from our apartment. My beach was the Atlantic ocean. I can remember climbing up the stairs to the top of the berm and seeing the glorious beach spread out in both directions for as far as the eye could see. From there we'd run down the stairs and across the pretty beach kicking off our sandals so we could run easily in the sand. Toes in the Sand is such a fun way to start our Feb.
|March: Surf's Up!
The third block is Surf's Up! So kick off your shoes and head out to the beach... we invite you to join us on a stroll through this post and take a look at the great block design, Pat's inspiration for it, and her video description for this month. This month's design is the same for both colorways.
|April: The Penny Arcade
While we recover from Winter and gear up for Spring, Pat takes us back to fond memories of arcade games, winning Kewpie dolls and the bright lights and ringing bells of a hopping game room! This month's block features a pinwheel design and looks like loads of fun!
|May: The Beach Bag
Summer is almost here! Load up YOUR favorite beach bag and head on down to the sand and the surf with Pat for some fun in the sun! We love this month's block, and you will too! And of course, Pat does her usual wonderful job with her video and the pattern, so jump on in and take a look!

|July: The Hot Dog Stand
Summer and freshly grilled hot dogs go together so well, and Pat's new block for her Vacation Time Mystery BOM captures this feeling beautifully! So stroll with us down the boardwalk to the hot dog stand, heap on your favorite toppings, and take a big bite!
|August: Salt Water Taffy
No Summer vacation would be complete if you didn't stroll by the candy store, watch the taffy pulling machines and smell the delicious aromas of warm candy as your mouth begins to water. Hungry yet? Step up and take a gander at the delicious flavor of block Pat Sloan has cooked up for us this month!
