FREE Tutorial - Braided Fabric Rag Rug Coasters by Julie Hirt

We know what we'll be doing with our scraps this Holiday season!  What a wonderful project!  These braided coasters are absolutely precious and will make excellent gifts.  Julie Hirt of Six Two Seven Handworks created these little gems, and her tutorial is detailed, easy to follow, and has great photos to show you each step.  There is also a video demo for the how-to!  Be sure to make one to stuff in your own stocking!  More from Julie:

"I’ve been wanting to make these for a while so I thought I’d put together a little tutorial. It’s Jelly Roll friendly if you have any leftover strips lying around. The final result is a 5″ wide, thick, absorbent coaster.

"Here are a few examples of other fabric choices.  The plaid shirting (middle pic) is the same on both sides, so I didn’t have to worry about too much ‘wrong side’ showing on the braids.  I really like these because they are thick, super absorbent, and fast to make.  Happy stitching!"

Finished Size: 5" Diameter (12.7cm Diameter)
